Thigh Trigger Points

Here are the main thigh muscles that tend to get trigger points:

Thigh trigger points tend to refer pain locally (where the triggers are) and down into the knee. They’re often in muscles used extensively for walking, standing and running, so will tend to get worse with exercise.

One thing to note, if you have muscle pain in your thigh, is to also look for trigger points in the buttock muscles, as these often refer pain down into the thigh.

Successfully treating thigh trigger points can give you a whole new lease of energy and pain-free movement. You may need to return several times to treat the points, and only gradually increase exercise as the muscle regains strength.
