Kristin Neff is the author of “Self-Compassion: The Proven Power of Being Kind to Yourself.” She is currently an Associate Professor in Human Development at the University of Texas, Austin.

In addition to this, Dr Neff has conducted pioneering research on the Buddhist principle of self-compassion, and developed an 8-week program to teach self-compassion skills.
