“After 2 years of pain in my leg and having spent $1000’s of dollars in treatment for multiple theories I came across your website and instantly recognised my problem…After the first treatment I noticed a difference…”

“Hi Jonathan,
I am finding all your information extremely helpful.Especially the answer to Krista as I think I am at this stage in my recovery at the moment.

“After 2 years of pain in my leg and having spent $1000’s of dollars in treatment for multiple theories I came across your website and instantly recognised my problem. No thanks to pain specialists and other practioners with no knowledge of trigger points.

“After the first treatment I noticed a difference. Now I am able to sit down without having to jiggle around in pain. Because I have multiple trigger points that are still causing pain it is taking a while and I would really like to return to the gym.

“So to treat triggers as well as light exercise sounds great to me. Thank you very much. I will continue to read up on your website and I send all your information to my son who is a personal trainer in Sydney. He didn’t know about these either.

“In just the ten minutes since visiting your site & watching those two videos, I can turn my head & feel like a million dollars…

“Thank you so much for the informative video on trigger points & neck tension! I have been suffering for over a month now with a sore neck & very tight upper back/shoulder muscles!

“I’ve been doing stretches (as given to me by a chiropractor) but without the breathing (for the neck) & the knowledge of the amount of pressure to be putting on my trigger points I have been obviously prolonging & worsening the pain!

“In just the ten minutes since visiting your site & watching those two videos, I can turn my head & feel like a million dollars… well, almost that good! I’ll be sure to do this on a daily basis now. Thank you again.

“Dear Dr Kuttner,
Thank you doctor for the manual. I am definitely going to make full use of it.

“On trigger points and a bit on how wonderfully it helped me. I do not have words to express my gratitude.

“In 2011 I started experiencing tremendous pain in my shoulder/right arm. Progressively the pain in my arm just got sooo bad that I was unable to lift my arm to apply roll on or even shave under my arm. I could barely lift my arm from my side. Reaching up was impossible. To dress/undress myself left me with excruciating pain and it often left me in a incapable bundle on the ground. In tears of pain. Simple things like putting on my undies became a painstakingly difficult operation. Reaching to even get a cup from the shelf was not possible.

“Putting my arm behind my back was something I had completely been unable to do for more than one and a half years. Just stretching out in the morning left me clutching my arm in excruciating pain which lasted for minutes afterward. I was only 54 but felt that I will soon lose all ability to use my arm. I thought the only outcome would be an operation. Sonar’s had been taken of my shoulder and arm as well as x-rays, but it revealed nothing.

“Night times became horror times as I was constantly in agonizing pain. Every movement, every turn I made was just pure suffering. I lived on pain and sleeping tablets. I dreaded going to bed. I love gardening and sewing but these things became an impossibility and in no time my garden became a jungle. I was no longer interested or capable of tending to it. The only thing on my mind was the constant agonizing pain I felt.

“I went at our local Provincial Hospital where I saw a orthopaedic surgeon who gave me an injection. Almost seconds after this injection, I was able to lift my arm although not completely and also not completely without pain. He suggested physio treatment. Which I religiously attended.

“Then, one morning, not quite sure why, I took a solid sponge kind of ball and started pressing against the cupboard on (what I did not know at that stage) a pressure point. I felt a great sense of relief and started applying this more often even during the day. I then acquired a few extra balls, some glass, some hard pressed foam and one tennis ball. Different sizes. I suddenly wanted to know more and started looking on the internet on what I discovered to be another world.

“I could not believe the difference I started to feel and within one week could phone and cancel all my future physio appointments. It has now almost one year free of pain. I work my garden as I have been all my life. Cleaning house is a joy and free of pain. For those thousands out there struggling too and not knowing that there is a way out I can but pray that they too, may see this light. It was a manual, similar like yours, that helped me back to life again. And last but by no means the least, I thank my Heavenly Father who through His Spirit, direct medical people like yourself to be instruments in His great plan. All the honour and glory to Him.

The Trigger Point Course

“I have found the course to be just what I was looking for, I think it’s incredible. This is a common sense program, designed for the lay person to treat themselves to get relief from pain and related symptoms.

“I have had a problem with trigger point pain radiating from what I’ve learned to be my ilio castalis muscle group, up my neck to the back of my head and right ear for about four years.

“You have to understand that I have done a considerable amount of research on this subject and my doubts were that this course could be a scam or just some form of snake oil remedy, but the more I investigated trigger point therapy, the more sense it made.

“I have employed your methods and the symptoms have diminished significantly…I feel like I finally have a way of treating the problem. I feel more in control of the situation. Thank you for a wonderful treatment program.” – Mark Mancuso

“Hi Johnathon, I love the course & all the material. I have found it very informative and interesting. I am a massage therapist & Kinesiologist. “Hi Jonathan I love the course so far …the course has helped me a lot, I never had any douth after trying a few of your free techniques, that they really worked. I have a lot less pain now after just using it a few times.

“Best of all Jonathan I have helped a couple of my friends with their shoulder pain and they could not believe that they were pain free after being sore for so long . To me just being able to help a friend was worth more than money can buy. Thank you so much for such a great course.

“I watched your free videos a few times and I knew that this was what I was looking for. Out of all the searching that I had done online I liked the way you explained things in a way that I could easily understand.

“I was slow purchasing the course because I don’t normally buy online and was scared of somehow somebody getting my credit card number. I was so sore that I took a chance on purchasing your course online. But purchasing from your site was the best thing I have ever done, with no problems at all. I would not hesitate to purchase again.

“I have greatly reduced my pain in my neck ,shoulder and right arm. I had pretty much given up on ever getting better . Best of all I feel better mentally because the pain does not drag me down.

“I think your video explanations are excellent. You use a simple, forthright style and make it easy to understand what you are saying…I did not really have any doubts, because the way you explained the trigger points seemed perfectly logical to me. I also believe that bad posture and stress can cause body pains and misalignment….I did try to find the trigger points in my arms, and believe I did find them, and used the ischemic pressure you recommended, and for a few days my arms were less painful.

“To start off, I would like to say just how much I appreciate the time & effort that you have spent in creating a course which I am sure will hugely benefit everyone who has cause to use it.

“I have found the course to be extremely interesting as the video, dialogue, charts, lessons and so on have been presented in a easily accessible manner and now have a much greater insight into all the pain created by trigger points & what can be done to obtain significant relief without the use of medication.

“I have found that the whole course continually provides one with the incentive & determination to keep on going as results are quite significant.

“When I first discovered your site I knew right away that this is what I needed to learn & put into practise in order to relieve years of debilitating pain in my neck, shoulders & lower back…I was even more convinced that this will be the answer to my problems & the first thing I did on returning home to Canada was to purchase your course.

“I have had a lot of success with my neck & shoulders. Together with treating the points & following up with the stretching I have now had 8 days virtually pain-free & that includes the lower back. The difference has been incredible. I still have to work a lot on the lower back but I do know now that as long as I persevere & do not become complacent I am soon going to be free to live a normal life.

“Dear Jonathan,

As a registered yoga teacher and curious by nature, I am always looking for ways to improve my yoga practice and deepen my ability to teach. The concept of Trigger Point is new to me, but was introduced as a way to explore, and understand my unique or individual patterns of tension through self applied trigger point therapy. I am not sure I have ever experienced such a clear “AHA” moment.

“Eagerly I began to search online but it was your site lifeafterpain.com that stopped my search. I purchased my membership that day and have looked no further for information on Trigger Point Therapy. You are clear, professional, and it is though I am enrolled in school. I look forward to, and appreciate, your constant updating of information. The video presentations are excellent and have been my greatest learning tool as well as the downloadable manuals……I have an organized binder dedicated to “lifeafterpain” for reference and I visit your site regularly for there is always new something to learn.

“It is clear to me that “trigger points” can be the missing link in the evolution of understanding and releasing our muscular tension at any age, in any circumstance, from athletes to those with chronic pain.

“My experience with self applied trigger point therapy has been profound and Jonathan your site has been my teacher. Thank you for your brilliant knowledge and what must be exhausting research for you, so that we can learn this vital, ongoing process of the body. As well, I appreciate the approach you take with the mind and visualization.

“I cannot imagine how you can improve your site….I look forward to your continued study, the informative email newsletters, and your willingness to publish the work to teach us!!!!!!
May we never stop learning!!!!!!!!

“I had a nasty mountain bike accident and tangled my back up. Bones were ok but the muscles were pulling all the wrong ways. Nerves were hypersensative. Needed a little more real life video on finding and self treating trigger points in my back.

“Could I find the trigger points? Could I treat the TPs? Was I finding the right TPs, primary and secondary?

“Of the work I’ve done, I’ve worked a lot of pain out. The course helped tremendously, I know everything won’t go away in a day.

“The pain moved in my back from right scapula (initial landing point) to middle back to left scapula to just below left scapula upwards and around to left traps and neck with sensative nerves that run over and through my shoulder and down the back of my arm to my middle three fingers.

“Daily stretching, finding and working trigger points, ice and heat….they all help, but I sure would like the pain to go away. In all fairness, pain started as a 9 out of 10 and I’m down to about a 3 or 4.” – Terry Deguisne

The course is great so far. You are a gifted teacher. I like the fact that you have short videos that demonstrate the techniques. I find I play them over and over. I am a PT and am fascinated with the concept of trigger points causing so much pain. I have tried these releases on myself and have been successful at treating back pain, shoulder pain and headache so far. I watched all the exercise videos and I use all of them often on my patients except for the advanced ones.

In my work I see lots of very complex patients and it is overwhelming because they have so many trigger points and I don’t know where to begin!

My greatest motivation for buying the course was to help my 22 year old daughter who has headaches and shoulder pain. She isn’t here now but will be coming home for Christmas and I can’t wait to see what I can do to help her with this information!

My only doubts about the course were wondering if I had sufficient computer skills to actually use it, but your directions are very clear. Thank you!!

“I am 65 year old female and have been active all my life. I still walk daily and do weight traing, I but dread going to bed at night.

My pain comes on every night about two hours after I fall asleep. Sometimes heat, ice, or stretching help, but often nothing relieves the pain. This nightly back pain and leg aches (restless legs) have been torturing me since July, 1993. I have had every test on earth, been to physical therapists, chiropractors, and accuputurists. Pain mediction doesn’t help and I really wouldn’t take it even if it did.

“I have used trigger point therapy in the past, but not in the same way as you propose. I even own a Teracane. After trying your technique I achieved enough success to spark my interest. Just last night I found the trigger point that is directly connected to my restless legs. Since I have suffered for so many years, I am certain it will take quite a while to elimiate all of my trigger points. I only hope I can find a way to keep them from reoccurring. “

“I have found your version of trigger point release quite effective. Especially when I use the ice, heat, stretch tecnique after applying pressure.”  Mara Sides

“Course on line is excellent. Have found trigger points i didn’t know I had – along abdominal scar tissue. Since treating them number of trigger points have reduced considerably.

“Since then checked current medication and ceased Nexium affects absorption of magnesium. Blood levels were low despite daily doses Magnesium Calcium and Vit D. Within days even less trigger points.

“Still have them chest wall and shoulder area but not nearly as painful. Unfortunately having a RH flare up with painful swollen hands which makes tx difficult but will persevere as appreciate the value of regular application.

“May still be some unknown points to find. Having followed your emails for several months and benefited I had no doubts at all in purchasing the course…I am a retired Podiatrist who had to give up the work I loved because of pain. I would love to get back to work and incorporate trigger point therapy. With your help maybe I can!. Please use anything that is useful. You are a Godsend”

What doubts did you have before purchasing the course? I had no doubts as I was in need of something and i was fed up with temporary fixes and felt the need to control…i am at the early stage of “feel”I do feel very encouraged , but my lower back Psoas muscle it still difficult to find the trigger!” – Tanya Reaich

“[The course is] Very explicit and easy to understand for the layman. All done in a lovely friendly manner which makes it more of a personal experience.

“That having had you explain and show so clearly the anatomy – makes it much easier to visualise how the joints and muscles work and be able to make movements to aid recovery rather than make the problem worse.

“And the ischemic pressure works really well and is so easy to apply. The relevant exercises make a lot of sense and are easy to put into action. A good way forward now with relief of a long standing shoulder problem. Thank you so much.” Many regards Felicity James

“So when I found out about the trigger points this greatley helped me. Now after the third week; I am albe to return to my secular work and walk better. I plan to print the trigger point manual on quality paper to make file cards of them for future reference.” – Laura N

“I thought I would take this opportunity to thank you (if you ever get round to reading what I assume is an enormous postbag), for all the information you make available. I did purchase your Trigger Point course and absorbed the principles but you provide so much good free information as well. I am a massage therapist, just very basically trained in Swedish massage. I have only ever worked as a volunteer as I had a well paid job in IT.

“I volunteer in our local hospice and go in one night a week, have done so since 1998. I am now retired from IT. To keep myself out of trouble I now also work part time as an auxiliary nurse in the same hospice. Using the trigger point treatment when appropriate has been very useful indeed. I am massaging round tumours and operation sites and so on with patients who are in the last days/weeks/months of life. So ordinary caveats are not needed, easing tension, pain and comforting with touch is what is required.

“I have found that I can teach your very gentle technique to the patient if they can reach the points, or they can pass it on to any helpful relation/visitor. The great thing is that it empowers people to help themselves – this seems very important indeed when everything else seems to be leaving them. If I can free up a neck so they can sleep, or an arm so they can scratch or move, it is wonderful. Even better, is enabling them to work on themselves. So thank you very much for all you do.

Kind regards,
Jenny Wilkinson”

“I found my fingers to be the most efficient of all tools.Technique was the most important factor in treating my trigger points. I was using a lot of pincer method but when I started viewing Dr Kuttner’s DVD’s and followed his technique, that’s when I started getting excellent results and eventually a cure.

“Starting at the right place made a world of difference for me. I focused on my calves since there are a lot of postural muscles there and one of my first symptom after my injury was plantar fasciitis (tobogganing injury to sacrum). I was a runner at the time and made my condition worse by continuing to run and not being able to find a provider to help solve my issues. The pain just kept on migrating and new problems were creeping up. I eventually stopped jogging and concentrated my energy on fixing my broken body.

“Being in the health care field helped me to focus. Approaching the muscles straight on with my fingertips instead of pinching seeming to make the difference and focusing on every small piece of tender tissue. Viewing Dr Kuttner’s DVD was a key factor as just looking at drawings or pictures did not have the same effect. His guidance was what made the difference.

“If I wasn’t getting results in one area, I would move to a different area or went to the other leg and eventually, the release happened. I really liked Dr Kuttner’s analogy of the ball of string or wool that you have to unravel.

“There was a logical sequence to the release and once the calves released, the hamstrings followed and so on up to my neck and head…My favorite use of the yoga tune-up balls is to put one under each trapezius and a yoga block under my buttocks while lying on the floor. Simply fantastic!

…I’m now happy to say that I don’t have to search for a cure anymore. Thanks Dr Kuttner. You helped me cure myself and now I’m helping many others in my practice help themselves.” – Simone Camden

Dear Dr Kuttner,

The Posture Course

“The course has been very useful and is beautifully presented with superb clarity. I have been pretty methodical in following the programme and have succeeded in getting my body to respond- in that the methods for achieving good posture is now assimulating into my movement memory.

I am still using the videos and I have really enjoyed the way I get such positive results with a lot of “ah ha” moments.

I like the tone of the programme- it is not too serious and is highly accessible. I had some doubts about whether I would ever be able to achieve better posture without some kind of 24 hour personal trainer!

I have had very postitive results thus far and I have experienced a loosening of very tight muscles around my neck and shoulders.

I am able to do daily chores without so much pain and stiffness ( including lambing of our 15 Ewes ).” – Gaynor Bartlett

“A lot of very good information, I’m getting off to a slow start fitting it in to my daily life, but I’m already much more aware of signals my body has been sending me (and I have been ignoring for years)

[Originally I was concerned that]…mostly that the information would not have been enough or instructive enough to be worthwhile. That was not the case though.

“The light bulb went off when I watched the video on the feet. I deal with migraines and so always started top down.

“Now I am looking at things from the bottom up. My left foot is “normal” with an arch while my right foot is flat and pronated.

“I like the idea of being able to correct the pronation without using orthotics I have struggled with the head forward posture and this is the first time I see the connection and a straight forward way to correct my posture.” – Jan Bentley-Fogolin

“You are indeed a very kind man. I have been having acupuncture from my NHS Physiotherapist, have had 5 treatments up to now, and 1 next week.

“After2 1/2 years of pain, I AM NOW ON DAY 8 OF NO PAIN. I hope this continues. If the trigger point has been “switched off” by the acupuncture, then I am optimistic.

“I will continue concentrating on the posture and I will try the tai chi exercises after it has really settled down. I have ordered a pilates ball to also help my core stability. All of this is due to the information you have so freely given. Thank you. ” – Barbara Snowball

“Dear Jonathan,

Hi, I just wanted to thank you for helping me get rid of my chronic pain. As I mentioned before I was in great pain, and none of the treatments worked.

My active lifestyle had changed into staying home in misery. Then I remembered the exercises that you mentioned and despite the chronic pain started to try, together with one hour’s walking.

It took time but the pain gradually ceased and now I can even run, and carry heavy luggages. I have learned through my experience that what one needs is courage to keep on moving. Not to give in to pain.

Thank you so much for pushing my back. I’ll keep on with strenghening my mustles!

Yours sincerely,
Kumiko Niizeki

“Overall good [results.] Taking the course has made me more aware of my posture, and to listen to the “warnings” my body gives me when I start to hurt.” – Debbie Virgin

“I found the course remarkably easy to understand. Since posture is a normal problem, esp. as you grow older, I had my doubts that it would work.

“Very good results; it’s motivating, and when I am in doubt, I visualize your smiling face and think how you would do it. That example is really good…. I am truly appreciative that this sort of material is available to help seniors since poor posture contributes to aging and decline. The “broad chest” is not something you are likely to see on the elderly and is much needed.” – Lillian Swanson

“For over eight years I have lived my life whilst being constantly accompanied by an unpleasant Gorilla named ‘Payne’. Signals that remind me of his presence are physical symptoms such as burning, stinging feelings and rippling and spasming of muscles.

“I have tried many techniques to banish him, so far without success. Yesterday evening I imagined a hydrogen balloon attached to the top of my head and took a short walk whilst swinging my hands by my side.

“Imagine my surprise when within a short time I became conscious that I was suddenly on my own. No burning, tingling, aching, twitching or spasming. Then a new companion entered my life. I named him ‘Payne-free’.”

“After multiple appointments with a Physiologist and 11 sessions with a Physical Therapist that explained nothing to me about the cause of my chronic pain, I found your online course on trigger points and posture and became enlightened!

“The pressure technique works brilliantly and learning to achieve correct posture is so much more effective than the stretching exercises I’ve been using. Yesterday was the first day in seven years in which I breezed through the day pain free. Thank you so much!!” – Terry Palmer

” I didn’t have reservations at all in buying the course. Details are very clear and address all my concerns. I suffer from a misaligned jaw, which as I am sure you know, is immensely frustrating, as no one has a monopoly on this area. There is an overlap between doctors with painkillers, dentists with splints and physical therapists with varying agendas! I have seen 3 osteopaths and one chiropracter. At the end of the day it is a postural issue and I must at all costs try to avoid the dreaded forward head posture, which is a risk from computer work!!! Dealing with the various trigger points is essential with this problem.

“The materials are clear and highlight the main trigger points. I also appreciated the section on breathing, which I am convinced is a key area and much overlooked! I certainly am looking for a measure of independence in dealing with the problem and you provide many of the tools. The Alexander teacher also addresses many of our common mistakes. So often the “professionals” complicate what are essentially bad habits, which can, hopefully be unlearned with a lot of discipline and patience.

Many thanks, Janet Ireland”

“[My doubts were] if it could tell me anything more than I already knew, which it did. And I had even had some sessions in the Alexander Technique… I’m thinking more about how I stand, walk and move, not an easy task at my age (77). I do feel taller and straighter, when I remember to use the positions that you’ve described.” – Jacqueline Alger

Jonathan,

I found your posture course interesting and helpful. At the time I purchased the course, I’d wondered what I could really learn about posture-everyone knows how to stand up straight, right? I was surprised to find the only thing I was doing correctly was breathing “belly breaths.”

It was a real eye-opener and I’ve been making a conscious effort to follow your advice daily until it becomes a habit I won’t even have to think about.

I have had some knee pain from bending my legs to pick things up from the floor rather than straining my back, but it’s lessening the longer I do it correctly. I am feeling less tension in my neck and shoulders already.

I enjoy your easy-going manner and sense of humor (and your accent!) and would absolutely recommend this course with a 10.

Thanks for all the help and insights toward a healthier life with less pain.

Sincerely,

Betsy L. Phelps

Nutrition Course

“I found the additional material in the updated nutrition section of the “Life After Pain” course very informative and useful… it’s helpful to know what I should eat more of and what to cut down on.

“For me the most helpful extras are the two pdf files in the “Simple Eating Plan”, particularly the one giving advice on replacing supplements with real food. Both documents contain masses of useful dietary information. With the help of that I may be able to stop taking the calcium/magnesiom supplements that I’m currently taking (I suspect my diet is a bit low on calcium). I also found the detailed sources of Omega 3 very helpful.

“BTW, I loved the smoothies recipes. The Nutrition Course is now very comprehensive. As a non-expert I would find it difficult to suggest how it could be signifiantly improved.

“I have found the course very informative with very easy to follow practical information.. I am a physiotherapist and I deal with a lot of patients with chronic pain type conditions. It is surprising that nutrition is not a fundamental first step of treatment for these type of patients. All to often patients are offered drugs as a first option of treatment relying on a passive rather than a self empowering approach. Often patients don’t know how or where to start. i have found the principles of changing one thing a week at a time a very empowering and manageable approach. I have learned a huge amount of practical information i wish i had known years ago for myself and for my patients.

“I didn’t have many doubts, [before purchasing] i have viewed many of your lecture videos to date and have found your approach open and informative.

“I have changed my nutrition habits as i feel this is important if i am going to be preaching this message to others and i feel healthier for having made the changes.” – >Donal Scanlan

The Mind Body Course

“I found the placebo effect talks and the intro to chronic pain fascinating and very well presented. I already took a course in mindfulness and did not expect any new info.

“Jonathan, you are the first person to explain the power of the mind so well that you gave me new hope I can change my nervous system and influence the chronic pain I have had for 11 years after suffering an SI joint injury.” Marta Taller

“Thank you that was helpful – there is definitely body mind connection and personally, when I have accepted the cause and effect of pain in my mind, I am able to look positively at ways to get rid of it and it has WORKED!” – Dolly Mani

“For a person that has been experiencing pain for 4 years now from a head on vehicle crash, the knowledge you have shared has become vital to my managing my physical – emotional issues related to my injuries. I have discovered that medical professionals can only do so much for certain types of injuries.

“The individual has to take some responsibility and control of the situation in order to manage the injury over time. ….you have given me the knowledge and resources to help me take control of my continual treatment. Thank you for all you have done to make my life better. God Bless You!” – Sandy

“To understand the nature of pain has to come from with in your self….Allowing me to find the deep connection of how my body express it self getting my attention. I have found that often the pain manifest so I have the opportunity to grow and understand myself at the cellular level of my being.” Carolyn

“Hi Jonathon,The mind body technique works remarkably- I have a nagging, although not excrutiating pain, which I have always “put up with” in my elbow. I have not done much about it as I have other pain issues. For the purpose of the exercise I visualised it as a yellow spherical shape and it did indeed get smaller and turned white – amazing.”

“Jonathan! …. I use this technique in my practice and my clients are not always sure at how something like that can work, but become very amazed at the results… Keep up the good service that you are offering the world. Cheers Elizabeth”

“I loved it! Your resources were great (pictures, videos, people reference)…MindBody Connection sounded like only theory. It was. I was interested in therapy (physical or massage) techniques like your other classes. However, this one has been the best ever! …Unbelievable material.

“I loved the exercises you posted and the pictures and videos to go with it. My showers have never been the same!

“Your summary of the mind-body connection and ongoing pain is brilliant and your courses in general have been so valuable for me, a bit like having a wonderful supportive friend in my computer with a constant stream of constructive ideas and suggestions.

“Pain does seem to be multi-disciplinary and each of your courses has had an important part to play in tackling my ongoing pain. I had a discectomy followed over a year later by a full fusion, as I had a developed spondilothesis. As you said it was like a fracture in the foot where the pain would never go away and only intensified. After the operation, which went well, I have had pain as you have described, with times of improvement but which can return with a vengeance.

My spine seems to have gradually re-balanced and very slowly is making an almost complete recovery – although exercise still has to be smooth and gradual. Thank you for your e-mails and courses which have made a big difference.” – Frances

“I find your course extremely helpful. Because I realised that the main problem that I have to fight with right now is fear. Fear that pain might come again when I do something not right. So I am afraigh to by active, to play soccer, tennis with my kids, skiing etc.

“Reading and listening to your course it is like talking to some coach who answers all my questions and is helping me to realise all connections in my body. Most of doctors do not have time to listen stories about pain, just prescribe some medicine and let you go…So this kind of psychotherapy it is really positive and supporting. I realised that I am not alone with my pain.

“When I realised that it is not pain what I had been feeling but only “some kind of spasm” in my back… Actually I felt some kind of discomfort but not pain. Since then I started to be more active – slow swimming, more walking…and it is getting better every day.”

The Shoulder Course

“I am a self taught swimmer (late starter) – no problem with that – until late last year when I taught myself the breast stroke. Shoulder problems appeared but I never associated this with swimming – not until you started the SHOULDER TREATMENT COURSE.

” So I had a swimming teacher take a good look at my technique to see if there might be an issue.
AND IT APPEARS THERE WAS – ON MY BREAST STROKE I WAS USING MY ARMS IN A VERY WIDE CIRCULAR MOVEMENT AND PUTTING QUITE A STRAIN ON MY SHOULDERS. I got instruction on the proper stroke and – would you believe – the problem has eased considerably. So using the new stroke AND YOUR TRIGGER POINT RELEASE COURSE I AM ON THE MEND.

1. The course is absolutely brilliant

2. Never had any doubts at all about the course

3. Results have been good so far, I need to work some more on my issues

4. The course is fine as it stands, you appear to have all necessary info to point people towards what they need to know and do to help fix their problem.” – Stephen Murray

“Hi Jonathan, I really enjoyed your course. I think you are a wonderful lecturer and so clear. It’s a pleasure to listen to your presentation and I have found the information generally useful….I have been having shoulder problems for over two and a half years now and I have tried to study trigger points from your videos and, originally, from a book by Clair Davies.

“I particularly found your anatomy discussion helpful in trying to visualise what is going wrong. I could then try to use my shoulder differently, especially when doing yoga poses.

“Your course was definitely a catalyst in helping me make some very necessary changes. ( I also learned an exercise someone showed me that she got from an osteopath, and I’ve started taking Feldenkrais lessons. I am determined to beat this thing.)

“Best wishes. I think you are doing a grand and useful job.”- Marion Bloch (age 71)

“I am reading and listening with interest to your information on shoulder pain, thank you….I thought I would take this opportunity to thank you (if you ever get round to reading what I assume is an enormous postbag), for all the information you make available. I did purchase your Trigger Point course and absorbed the principles but you provide so much good free information as well.

“I am a massage therapist, just very basically trained in Swedish massage. I have only ever worked as a volunteer as I had a well paid job in IT. I volunteer in our local hospice and go in one night a week, have done so since 1998. I am now retired from IT. To keep myself out of trouble I now also work part time as an auxiliary nurse in the same hospice.

“Using the trigger point treatment when appropriate has been very useful indeed.

So thank you very much for all you do

Kind regards
Jenny”

“I found the course extremely useful. Your enthusiasm made me excited about the shoulder as well. I am so much smarter and have such a clear understanding of the dynamics of the shoulder. I fully understand the rotator cuff and the skeletal bones as well the power muscles. You are an excellent teacher Jonathan and I will continue to take your courses as it assist me in my development as a yoga instructor. Thank you for the course

“I had no doubts based on knowing how you teach with such detail, brilliance, your video’s and such. I paid full price at first, and was willing, until I realized I was offered a discount for having a lifetime membership. I was promptly refunded the difference

“I am a better TriggerPoint Yoga teacher and I am certainly more intelligent. I understand impingement more fully and can help students move the shoulder correctly based on posture. As well one thing that stood out to me was demonstrating how to keep the supraspinatus in correct alignment when raising the arm out to the side. This is not only effective for those that have impingement or pain but as a whole I think we have so much tension that in many have adapted incorrect movement patterns based on chronic tension and this is a great example of how to keep the shoulder blade functional.

The Breathing Course

“I already feel relax after breathing only five times, I didn’t realize that I was tense. thanks…”
Mark

“Excellent sharing of a very useful technique to help relax the body as well as the mind in your daily life and as a massage therapist I may share this with my patients helping them reach the status of mind/body relaxation which will in turn reduce the pain they are experiencing for sure.”

“I completely agree with the importance of breathing to keep us away from muscular pain.”
Samuel S.

” Hi Jonathon,I taught this type of diaphragmatic breathing when I worked as an OT in stress management. What I’ve noticed since I became injured and then developed CMPS is that I shallow breathe when concentrating on something.

“Even though I know about how to breathe in a healthy way, I’ve managed to fall into a bad habit. So, as you so rightly say, it is about awareness.I hope with this awareness I can ease my pain levels further. Thank you” – Adam
