When you  start to get pain while playing your instrument – there is a list of things to check through. It’s all basic common sense stuff – but when you take care of the basics, the complications tend to disappear.

  • Posture – optimum balance & breathing
  • Interface- optimum position of function & minimum use of force

Comparison of Hours Practised to % Students Experiencing Pain

24% pain -practiced up to 3 hours/day

44% pain – practiced 3.5-7 hours/day.

Very interesting and informative for people other than musicians too. I feel it was a bit drawn-out. I would have liked more explicit instructions as to the location of trigger points. Kind regards. Dilys
